On April 12, 2023, the “Ma Xiaohui Erhu Art Four Seasons Appreciation Forum” was successfully launched at the J Hotel Shanghai Center Cloud. After successful preparation, the event was held in the banquet hall on the 105th floor of the hotel and received a warm welcome and high praise from the audience due to its rich content and diverse forms.
During the event, Ma Xiaohui performed brilliantly, not only explaining the history and culture of the erhu, but also immersing the audience in wonderful melodies with her own performance. In the interactive session, Ma Xiaohui and J Hotel President Xia Li recited impromptu under the accompaniment of erhu music, which was a perfect match. In addition, Ma Xiaohui invited famous singer and host Wang Guoquan to perform the American country song “Country Road” with everyone, and the whole event ended with applause after nearly two hours of entertainment.
The successful event not only allowed the audience to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the erhu art, but also raised the artistic accomplishment of hotel staff and contributed to the cultural dissemination and development of traditional Chinese musical instruments.
