
BEIJING, March 4 (WSH) — The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee opened its annual session on Tuesday in Beijing.
President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders attended the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, which commenced at 3 p.m. at the Great Hall of the People.
At the meeting, the agenda for the session was reviewed and approved. Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee.
The CPPCC, China’s top political advisory body, serves as a platform for multiparty cooperation and political consultation. Its annual session brings together representatives from various sectors to deliberate on major policy matters and provide input on economic and social development.
The meeting takes place as China continues efforts to advance modernization, promote high-quality development, and deepen reforms, with the CPPCC playing a central role in fostering consensus and policy recommendations.
